Мяч разработан специально для MLS. Adidas PRIME был создан по дизайну Tango 12, состоит из трёхмерных сферических панелей из полиуретана.

На мяче PRIME 2012 нанесен автограф бессменного комиссара MLS – имя которого Дон Гарбер.
Разновидности мяча.
В рамках социальной программы «MLSWORKS» посвященной рассмотрению важных социальный вопросов заранее определенные матчи играют мячом розового цвета — MLS PRIME BREAST CANCER AWARENESS. Программа MLSWORKS существует с 2007 года и направлена на борьбу с раком.
Сезон MLS проходит с марта по декабрь и каждый из клубов проводит по 34 матча в регулярном чемпионате. Десять команд участвуют в турнире плей-офф, который завершается финальным матчем за Кубок MLS.
Поэтому для специально финала изготовлен мяч — MLS FINALS PRIME 2012.
Также есть еще одна разновидность мяча МЛС сезона 2012 — это Tango 12 с логотипом МЛС.
