Сегодня речь пойдет о кубке ЛЕ, о самом трофее.
15 мая в Амстердаме капитану победившей команды вручат кубок за победу в Лиге Европы УЕФА, ему потребуются все оставшиеся силы, ведь нужно будет поднять над головой самый тяжелый клубный трофей Европы. Серебряная чаша весом 15 килограммов имеет высоту 65, ширину 33 и глубину 23 сантиметра.
Трофей в виде серебряного кубка на постаменте из желтого мрамора был разработан и изготовлен в миланской мастерской Бертони. В отличие от множества других европейских кубков, у него нет ручек. Фигуры борющихся за мяч игроков, расположенные чуть выше платформы, несут не только декоративную функцию, но и придают устойчивость всей конструкции — на них опирается восьмигранный кубок с эмблемой УЕФА.
Согласно правилам турнира, кубок передается победителю на один год. В постоянное владение триумфатор получит лишь копию кубка. По регламенту, оригинал получит клуб, выигравший турнир три раза кряду, или пять раз в сумме, чего пока еще не случалось.
Всего за историю турнира лишь четырем капитанам доводилось поднимать его над головой более одного раза. Последним из них был капитан «Севильи» Хави Наварро, чей клуб отстоял титул в Глазго в 2007 году.
